I enjoy arranging raw construction materials and other found objects in unexpected combinations and patterns. Working with these rugged and refined materials, such as wood, stone, metal and glass, creates contrast in texture and color. Given that these elements possess unique qualities, each piece is truly one-of-a-kind.

Biography

Nancy Frazier Greager began her creative career in the fashion industry doing Visual Merchandising and display windows for Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. During her fifteen-year career in retail, which took her from Denver to Chicago and back, Nancy honed her artistic eye as well as her construction skills.

After graduating with a Marketing Degree and honors from Metropolitan State College of Denver, Nancy left retail to explore other business fields. Several years later, she was lured back into the art world and joined forces with her sister to found Set In Stone, Ltd., which produced custom home furnishings using recycled slate roofing tiles.  With headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, Set In Stone operated a successful wholesale division, selling to over 60 galleries and showrooms across the country.  In addition, Set In Stone participated in wholesale and retail shows and had a strong custom division for commissioned works.

In 2000, family health issues forced the sisters to close the Set In Stone studio, and Nancy relocated back to Colorado.  With a desire to develop additional artistic skills, she immersed herself in woodworking and stone-carving classes.  During that time, Castlewood Ranch Development in Castle Rock approached Nancy to create 125 small stone sculptures to be given as corporate gifts.  Upon landing the commission, she recruited her husband, Brann, and created !bang art, LLC.

Today, !bang art, LLC operates from a small garage studio in Denver.
